Yehuda & Israel is a friendly society who initiated and raised a performing club, for creativity and social involvement for youth at the ages of 15-18. The vision of that foundation is nurturing and encouragement of social involvement, personal empowerment of young people through art and culture.

The goal of this club is to become creative and give values to young people and to become an arena who deals in social issues through creative ways.

This is a place which triggers original thinking and deals in basic questions, aiming to lead to a conscience and social change. Yehuda & Israel is having weekly performances on top of a variety of workshops, events and volunteering – as this is a non-profit institution. It runs courses, workshops and art-classes in a variety of fields, such as music, theater, dance and communication. Known artists perform there once a week, especially on special occasions such as holidays. It relates to Jewish/Israeli identification, self progression and to social contribution.

In each and every of the club activities the emphasis is to enlarge their will to be involved and to change, to cultivate their creative drive and to further their social involvement within other youngsters. The center supports cutting down social inequalities and therefore is available to all walks of social classes. It works as a non-profit institution so the fees are symbolic only.

All the workshops are aimed to social activities and connect their participants to centers of activities. Besides workshops, the club encourages social involvement by direct activities and organizes, together with the youngsters, voluntary events such as volunteering in hospitals, cleaning of seashores and more.

The activity plan of the club was done with total cooperation with already active youngsters in the center, through the understanding and the belief that young people should be part of the affecting decisions on their life and aimed at them. hose youngsters are fulfilling central place among the decisions makers in the club and are among those teams dealing in various parts of the management of the club: Media team, social involvement team and more. The leaders of those teams come also from those youngsters and make the core team of the club.

Behind that initiative stands a supreme motive and far reaching – to offer a valuable alternative to the young generation. A kind of alternative that will develop a sense of identity to those youngsters, empower them and will give them tools to lead, to create a change in their society and to lead social activities for their communities.

In front of the violent cycle we are all witnessing, this aim becomes doubly relevant and important.

Yehuda & Israel is a philanthropic project in nature when each and every meaning are for positive social awareness.
